Evaluation
Evaluation, Written Report, & Review
Initial speech-language and occupational therapy evaluations will be completed which include parent/caregiver interview, review of pertinent medical history, skilled observations, and direct testing. Evaluations typically take 1 to 1.5 hours for each therapeutic discipline. The therapists will then score the assessments and compile a written report which will be reviewed with the parents/caregivers in person or via video conference at a later date.
*Evaluations are required prior to beginning therapy services.

Speech & OT treatment sessions
Two-on-One Joint Sessions
Treatment sessions focus on working toward goals that the therapists and family collaboratively set together. Sessions range from 30-75 minutes in length and involve the use of therapeutic approaches and activities.

social & Play groups - Coming soon!
Skill-Based Classes
Social & play groups address and strengthen many areas including communication, peer modeling, inclusion, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. Designed and led by a pediatric speech pathologist and occupational therapist, groups will incorporate stories, music, sensory play, and fine/gross motor activities and games. Classes run for 50-minutes followed by 10 minutes of questions and answers.

Evaluations completed by Little Palms are required prior to the initiation of services. This ensures sessions will be targeted to the priority areas that we have determined as a team.
30-minutes sessions will only be available to those taking place at your child’s daycare or school. A minimum of 45-minute sessions are required for all other settings.
If a family has more than one child seeking services, inquire about discounted sibling rates!
Individual speech or OT sessions (led by only one therapist) are available on a case-by-case basis.

Introductory Call
If you have concerns about your child’s development, you can book a no-cost, 10-15 minute phone consultation to determine if our services are the right fit for your child’s needs.

Evaluation
Based on your concerns, your child will be evaluated using a combination of informal and formal assessments in conjunction with a parent-provided case history report. Our goal is to keep this step fun!

Evaluation Review
After your evaluations are completed, we will formulate a personalized care plan to support your child’s unique needs and call/meet with you to review your child’s goals and frequency of treatment.

Therapy Sessions
Our speech and occupational therapist will begin fun, collaborative sessions to address your child’s goals. The plan of care will be reassessed every 12 months.
We have a 15-mile radius for travel. We offer travel outside of our 15 miles at a rate of $20 per 10 miles.
